prompt: sugar plum #10: bring us a figgy pudding
summary: house rules: you have to kiss someone if you end up under the mistletoe together! hijinks ensue. (Kristopher+Aya)
notes: the sixth of twenty five kisses under the mistletoe at a Christmas party Nikos is hosting
Glory followed his son into the kitchen, slipping around the mistletoe with a suspicious frown. Kristopher capered around, greeting everyone in turn and foisting a box of homemade Christmas cookies on them.
"Don't worry," he told Abel, who frowned at him. "I ate all the burned ones, so these are all good."
"Just take a cookie, Abel," said Nikos, happily eating one himself even as he stood over the stove.
Abel took one from the tin and Kristopher hopped across the room to Koji. Glory unwrapped a bottle of scotch from the inconspicuous paper bag, which Abel received a little more enthusiastically.
"Merry Christmas," he said, nodding.
Abel nodded back and reached up for the cut crystal glasses in the cabinets, casting a sidelong glance at Glory as he did so. Glory didn't notice, too busy herding Kristopher away from the hot stove.
"Cookie, Mariel?" asked Kristopher, holding out the box.
She examined it from her perch on the kitchen table and picked a little sugar cookie tree, while Tristan reached across her lap to help himself to a gingerbread. Aya hummed thoughtfully and chose a little gingerbread woman in a red dress.
"I made that one just for you, Miss Scarlett," said Kristopher, blushing.
"Thank you, Kristopher," said Aya. She smiled at him and placed a kiss on his cheek. "Merry Christmas."
Kristopher stammered and blushed and ran to hide behind his father with a mumbled "merry Christmas."
