"You know, sheik, you don't have to start fights with every fellow who looks at me funny."
Aya dabbed a ball of cotton in rubbing alcohol and touched it against the split skin of Mariel's knuckles. She winced, but didn't flinch as Aya continued to clean up her bleeding hands. Aya gave a little coo of sympathy before looking straight up at Mariel, her face set in a stubborn pout.
"Especially not ones bigger than you."
"Yes I do," said Mariel.
"You don't have to worry about my honor, sheik," said Aya. She cut a length of gauze and began to wrap it around Mariel's hands, deft and sure. She had done this many times before.
"It's not your honor I'm worried about, Ms Scarlett."
